Core Practices for Every Group

Welcoming enviroment
Our Community Groups are the front door of Church 8025, where most people first experience connection and belonging. By fostering an environment that is warm and inviting, both regulars and newcomers can feel truly at home.

Fellowship
In the New Testament, we see the early church sharing life—eating, gathering, and walking through challenges side by side. Fellowship is what strengthens those bonds, creating unity and lasting relationships within the group.

Bible study
At the heart of everything we do is studying God’s Word, which helps us grow both individually and together. By taking time to discuss and understand Scripture, we learn how it shapes our lives and guides us to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Prayer
Scripture calls us to bear one another’s burdens, and prayer is one of the most powerful ways we do that. When we take time to pray with and for each other, we follow the example of the early church and reflect the way Jesus intercedes to the Father.

Suggested Group FLow
Feel free to make this your own, these are just some suggestions.
1. Start with fellowship
Be ready at meeting time to great your group. A prepared space helps create a welcome environment. Try to have a clean and well lit space with some lite snacks and drinks. Add soft backrous music to create a even more welcoming feel.
2. Kickoff with fun
People bond when they have fun! Consider kicking your groups meeting off with a short game or ice breaker everyone can participate in. This helps people feel connected and seen as you prepare for discussion.
3. Time for the study
Next is the study. Wether it's reviewing a book, watching a video followed by discussion or walking through a passage of scriipture, now is the time to talk.
As the leader, be prepared. Review the material well in advance and be ready to help facilitate discussion. Prompting others to participate and contribute.

4. Prayer
Close every meeting time with an opportunity for people to share prayer request. We suggest having a different group member pray after each gathering.

Community That Marked the Acts 2 Church
This six-session Bible study invites us to challenge our distinctions between “Sunday Church” and the rest of our lives, to go all in with our faith and commitment to church community, and to live the truly dynamic, impactful life God has always intended for Christians to live.

God of the Ordinary
A Study in the Book of Ruth
Through this 6-session Bible study, Alistair Begg reminds us that no matter how dark or dramatic our days may seem, God still protects His people and accomplishes His purposes. Within life’s humdrum and routine events, we discover His loving hand at work.

Everyday Evangelism
Pursuing Hearts, Not Arguments
In this six-session study, you’ll be equipped with practical, effective ways to share the truth of the gospel with your friends, neighbors, and coworkers. You’ll be inspired by the author’s own story of how he came to know Jesus through a friend who reached out to him in love, invited him into his life, and showed him what it truly means to be a Christian. You’ll also be challenged to respond to God’s call to be bold—because eternity is at stake.
